Donate to the High Weald Landscape Trust

The Trust is always delighted to receive donations and uses them to help fund practical land management projects and promote education and awareness about the landscape of the High Weald. We spend only a few hundred pounds a year on administration so almost all funds received will be devoted to one or other of our projects.

Weald Meadows Initiative and ‘Vanishing Meadows’

The Weald Meadows Initiative has successfully completed this phase (November 2009 - October 2011).

We have secured 18 months of funding but we are aiming for a two year project and therefore we continue to seek donations and new partners to help support the valuable work of our project.

The Weald Meadows Initiative (WMI) carries out a range of tasks in the Weald to support meadows and their owners. Past achievements include; the Vanishing Meadows Exhibition in 2009 held at Kew Wakehurst Place and giving meadows a helping hand in 2010. In this year alone, the WMI has developed and signed an MoC with RBG Kew, provided landowner with visits, surveys and reports, assisted with the re-homing of retiring sheep, fed into the development & launch of the UK Seed Hub and held a range of meadow focused events and meetings.

Your contribution will make you an honorary custodian of our wildflower grasslands in the Weald. It will be used for grassland conservation and could help to match fund a project officer.
