The Weald Meadows Initiative works with many key partners.
We are particularly proud to announce an exciting collaboration with The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Wakehurst Place and The Millennium Seed Bank. The WMI supported the launch of RBG Kews UK Native Seed Hub in August 2011 and the Initiative will continue to provide support and advice to the aid the development of UK Native Seed Hub throughout 2012 and 2013.
Vanishing Meadows
To support the long-term future of unimproved meadows in the Weald and establish new species rich grasslands - our projects officer supported 181ha of grassland through meadows visits and advice to 33 landowners and 21 organisations, prompting comments such as
'Thank you so much... we greatly appreciated your insight on what possibilities lay ahead for us on the conservation/biodiversity front'
