The HWLT - Weald Meadows Initiative (WMI) is very proud to work with a diverse range of partners, which are helping to secure the future of our meadows.

The founding partnership of the WMI includes: Meadows Owners, The High Weald AONB Unit and Joint Advisory Committee, The Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group & Agrifactors

Working with new Memorandum of Collaboration partners The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew & with the established Weald Meadows Group members made up of Kew, WMI, Sussex University, Sussex Wetland Landscapes Project ,The National Trust - Sheffield Park & Batemans and the Sussex Botanical Recording Society.

The WMI has active engagement and events focused around holdings in the Weald such as: The Beech Estate, Kingsmead, Kew - Wakehurst Place and High Beeches.  

The work of the WMI includes liaison and exchange of information with: Meadow Owners, The Grassland Trust, Plantlife, Flora locale, University of Reading - Centre for Agri- Environmental Research, Sussex University, Natural England, Sussex & Kent Wildlife Trusts & Biological Record Centres, the Environment Agency and the Highways Agency.
