We don't just work with farmers. If you have a property with some land or a smallholding and use small machinery rather than a tractor, find out what lies beneath your feet. For a donation of £75, we can advise how to create a wildflower meadow - and keep it in good heart.
Heritage - At Kingsmead Meadow, in the shadow of where Harold's armies gathered for the Battle of Hastings 1066, local provenance seed is being sown to increase biodiversity and public enjoyment of the wildlife value of this open area of meadow.
Learn - In 2011 we offered a range of events and we featured on CLMs stand at Heathfield Show ran guided walks to explore the best ways to manage, restore or create bio-diverse meadows on a small and large scale. We also ran a training course for seed collecting and restoration techniques with RBG Kew and Flora Locale. Please see WMI Events Summary 2011 for a flavour of the types of events we hope to attend and offer to you in 2012.
